The Chinese system of mui tsai ("little

sister") relates only to girls. There is no

evidence that there are any boys in Hong Kong

whose status is similar to that of mui tsai

under any Chinese custom.

Employers of mui tsai should be required

- in addition to paying wages to the girl

to pay monthly sums to her credit in a Savings

Bank Account.

7. An enquiry and public declaration on the

question of the relation if any between the

mui tsai system and prostitution.
